Music Review- My Love Will Keep- Jonathan Edwards

Title: My Love Will keep

Genre: Record

Grade: A

Notable People: Jonathan Edwards

Review: Long forgotten singer- songwriter from the 70’s has re-emerged with a beautiful album. His high pitched tenor remains a heavenly instrument. Beautiful songs, excellent arrangements, wonderful musicianship. Like the return of an old friend. Interesting translation of The Beatles “She Loves You” and remake of his own standard ”How Long”. A beauty!

Music Review- How to be Clairvoyant- Robbie Robertson

Title: How to be Clairvoyant

Genre: Record

Review: a new album- fist in over a decade from the former leader of The Band. Wonderfully complex lyrics and his usual funky guitar playing and arranging. This is real keeper and features a nice duet with Eric Clapton and vocals by Mavis Staples.

Music Review- Mudcrutch

Title: Mudcrutch

Genre: Record

Grade: B+

Notable People: Tom Petty and several of the Heartbreakers

Review: I’ve been listening to this album , released a couple of years ago, again. Very classic 70’s county rock from Petty and his original Gainesville band- which included two of the Heartbreakers and Bernie Leadon’s (Eagles fame) brother. Nice harmonies, jingle jangle guitars and classic songs of the era. A nice little record.

Music Review- Low Country Blues- Gregg Allman

Title: Low Country Blues

Genre: Record

Grade: B

Notable People: Gregg Allman

Review: First solo album in many years from this blues rock legend with the voice of gold. In good form with good guest players and the classic keyboard sound from the Bros. nothing major new here- but a good return to roots and a welcome return from the near dead.
